Dr. Escalón is involved with research related to brain injury and spinal cord injury especially as it relates to pain, spasticity and recovery after injury as well as leveraging technology to optimize improvement post-injury. He is also involved in the use of robotic exoskeletons to facilitate walking for neurological recovery after spinal cord injury. Dr. Escalón is also involved in research related to ICU patients as it relates to their long term function and quality of life.
