B(I)RDs (Brief potentially Ictal Rhythmic Discharges)
Dr. Yoo described an interesting EEG rhythm, B(I)RDs (Brief potentially Ictal Rhythmic Discharges) in adult population and is continuing her research to find its role as a potential EEG biomarker for seizure activity and the seizure onset zone with scalp and intracranial EEGs.
Mechanisms of EEG Rhythmicity
Dr. Yoo is also interested in the mechanisms of EEG rhythmicity and further development of therapies/clinical trials for drug-resistant epilepsy.
