Sexual Health and Cancer
My research focuses on improving sexual health outcomes after cancer treatment, with particular emphasis on receptive anal intercourse and gay and bisexual men with prostate and anal cancers. I study how treatments such as surgery, radiation, and systemic therapies affect the anatomy and physiology of sexual function and pleasure. By generating evidence on how different treatments impact sexual function across sexual behaviors, my goal is to help oncologists tailor treatment recommendations and design interventions that preserve pleasure while minimizing dysfunction.

In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
